OK, so I just got these guys from www.blacktreedesigns.com . Added bonus they sent me 11 guys instead of 10. These are the Gebirgjaeger, the elite mountain troops of germany in WW2. They are going to be my veteran unit in my early war german army. I plan on painting some of the guys in these scheme:
I filed the bottom flat on all the mini's and mounted them to the nylon washers I normally use. Next, I sprayed them with krylon automotive primer. Then a coat of glass varnish. I made a black oil wash, washed the minis to darken the recesses, then I applied a dry brush of gray to bring out the details to make it easier to paint. Step 2 will happen when I get a chance.
